Vegan Cooking For Carnivores is one of my top veggie, go-to cookbooks when I am looking for something extra yummy to make. Chef Roberto Martin (celebrity chef for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi) makes vegan cooking fun and super easy with his hearty, meat-free recipes. His Herb Oil creation is a staple in my kitchen and my husband begs me weekly to make his Macaroni and Cheese. It’s better than “real” mac and cheese. (Just a tip: I top it with bread crumbs and pop it in the oven for about 10 minutes and that gives it a super crispy, ooey gooey, scrumdiliumptions finish. Not to say you can improve upon perfection but… it’s pretty amazing.)
This book will not only appeal to the plant strong but to meat eaters, as well. Shock your carnivore dinner guests with Chef Roberto’s mouth watering Sliders, or Tofu Crab Cakes (which I’m dying to try).
