I was home in Buffalo a few weeks ago and my ever wise mom shared with me her newest gadget: The Misto Olive Oil Sprayer. We were making roasted veggies for dinner while mom demonstrated this impressive contraption. She pumped the lid several times, pointed the mister at the bright vegetables and in one perfect stream, quickly covered the cuisine with flavorful oil. It’s that simple!
Now typically, when I make roasted vegetables, which is practically every day, I cover the pan with olive oil, place my veggies down and then pour more oil on top of them. What a waste of precious olive oil, not to mention the calories I was so carelessly showering my food with. Even a generous spritz with your Misto Sprayer doesn’t compare to the calories/amount of oil you use without it. Another bonus is that since you won’t be going through oil like it’s going out of style, you can spend a bit more and buy the good olive oil. Trust me, it makes a difference.
I haven’t been able to find this fabulous device at any of my local stores (but, I’m hearing Bed Bath and Beyondamazon for about $9.00. Best nine bucks I’ve ever spent! OMG OBSESSED!
