I adore working out and being healthy. As I near the final month of my pregnancy, it has gotten a bit more difficult to keep up with my normal workouts. Bending and maneuvering is not as easy as it used to be and my usual P90X routines are pretty much out of the question at this point. I recently discovered Leslie Sansone’s Walk At Home program on Exercise TV On Demand! I AM OBSESSED! I do the Start Walking 2 Mile workout when I am feeling good and energized and the 1 Mile or Cardio Slimdown when I am a bit on the tired side. I love the Cardio Slimdown because Leslie has a group of 4 other walkers (Cat, Donna, Bree and Clint) who join in the fun.
Leslie has teamed up with the American Heart Association to show people how easy it is to get their daily walk in. Working out isn’t all about losing weight. Especially during pregnancy. It really is so important to keep your heart strong and healthy. That is, in fact, the most important muscle in your body! As Leslie says, what happens to be good for your heart also happens to be the very same thing that helps you to slim down. Staying active during pregnancy has proved to be extremely beneficial. Not only are you setting your baby up for a healthy life (so important), but by keeping your energy flowing and your muscles strong, you are likely to have an easier and faster delivery. By managing your weight gain, you are also likely to fit into those pre-pregnancy jeans a lot quicker than if you didn’t keep active. As if you need more incentive than that!
Leslie makes walking fun and always thanks you for walking with her. She encourages you to get your walking in whenever you can, whether it be on a treadmill, out on the street or by doing her fabulous videos.
